For Air Conditioning & Process Heating

Our steam air heating coils are designed for efficient heat transfer using dry saturated steam, making them ideal for both HVAC systems and industrial process heating applications. Each coil is bespoke to suit a wide range of ducting, plenums, and air handling units. We manufacture coils to meet virtually any dimensional or performance requirement. Whether for new installations or retrofit projects, our solutions are engineered to integrate seamlessly into your system.

    Performance Optimisation

Steam is an efficient and widely distributed heat transfer medium, making it ideal for building heating systems and industrial processes. However, correct system design is essential to ensure long-term performance and reliability.

Each coil is individually selected using advanced computer software to deliver:

    • Maximum thermal efficiency
    • Minimal air pressure drop
    • Performance tailored to your specific application

    Construction & Specification

Our coils are built for durability and performance:

    • Seamless drawn copper tubes (EN12735-2 standard)
    • Mechanically expanded into aluminium fins with die-formed, self-spacing collars
    • Copper headers silver brazed to tube ends
    • BSP(M) flow and return connections
    • Heavy gauge galvanised steel casing for structural strength
    • Tube end plates with collared holes to allow thermal expansion and contraction

    Testing & Quality Assurance

Every coil undergoes rigorous testing to ensure reliability:

    • Pressure tested to 17 bar
    • Tested using dry compressed air under water for leak detection

    Key Advantages

    • Expert Design — we help select the right coil and design for your application.
    • Robust Construction — high pressure rated materials, fully tested before dispatch.
    • Quality Assurance — pressure tested to 16 bar for leak detection.
    • Performance Optimisation — maximum thermal efficiency with minimal air pressure drop.

    Optional Features

Polyester-coated aluminium fins — for corrosion resistance.

Plain copper or tinned copper fins — alternative fin materials for specialised duties.

Boxed ends — for high-pressure or positive-pressure duct systems (reduces air leakage).

Stainless steel casings — for demanding environments.

    Common Questions — Steam Coils

Steam coils must be installed to promote condensate drainage. Improper installation can cause water hammer, freezing, and internal corrosion. Tubes must never be inclined upwards. Correct trap selection and condensate return pipework are essential.
