Air Conditioning & Process Cooling Applications
Optimal Performance
Each coil is individually selected using advanced computer-based selection software to ensure:
- Optimised thermal performance
- Low air pressure drop
- High system efficiency
Specification
All coils are manufactured to high engineering standards using premium materials:
- Seamless drawn copper tubes to EN12735-2
- Mechanically expanded aluminium fins with die-formed self-spacing collars
- Copper return bends and tubular copper headers, silver brazed for durability
- BSP(M) flow and return connections
- Integrated air vents and drain connections
The casing is constructed from heavy gauge galvanised sheet steel to ensure rigidity and long service life. Tube end plates feature die-formed collared holes to accommodate thermal expansion and contraction without damage.
Standard drain trays are supplied, vee-formed with air baffles to prevent air bypass and fitted with BSP(M) drain connections. Alternatively, perforated base plates can be provided for connection to customer-supplied drain trays.
Moisture Carryover Control
Water carryover (condensate blow-off) can occur due to factors such as face velocity, fin spacing, fin height, and latent cooling conditions (SHR). Systems with high fresh air content are particularly susceptible.
To minimise issues, downstream drainage is recommended, and moisture eliminators can be fitted where required. When installed, an additional coil depth of at least 180 mm should be allowed.
Intermediate drain pans can also be incorporated within coil blocks to prevent condensate build-up in lower fin sections.
Condensate Drainage & Trapping
Correct condensate drainage is essential to prevent flooding or air blow-back into the drain pan. Proper trapping must be installed in accordance with system static pressure requirements.
Modular Construction & Stacking
For large installations, coils can be supplied in multiple sections for easier handling. Each section is fitted with its own drain pan, with provisions for condensate drainage into a main collection tray where required.

Key Advantages
- Low pressure drop — coil geometry selected to minimise fan and pump loads.
- Any geometry — all sizes, row depths, connection positions and handing options.
- Material options — copper tubes with aluminium, copper, tinned copper or coated fins.
- Quotations — most returned within 24 hours with selection data.
Optional Features
Fin Material — available in plain copper, tinned copper, or polyester coated aluminium for corrosive environments.
Tube & Fin — 1/2" O.D. tube with fin spacing from 4.2 mm to 2.1 mm. 5/8" O.D. tube with fin spacing from 6.0 mm to 2.1 mm.
Sloping Removable Drains — for easy cleaning.
Moisture Eliminators — to reduce condensate carryover.
