EC Fans — Ziehl Abegg EC Blue Owlet

EC Fans are fan assemblies with electronically commutated external rotor motors with an integrated EC variable speed controller. HC Coils offers Ziehl Abegg EC Blue Owlet fan options across our complete ranges of Dry Air Coolers, Industrial Air Coolers and Air Cooled Condensers.

The EC Blue Owlet fans are highly efficient — achieving IE4 (IEC60034-31) efficiency class, offering the highest efficiency with the lowest possible noise level for any duty. Integrated speed control is achieved by 0–10V proportional input, enabling the fan to operate at the optimum speed and lowest energy consumption.

By operating fans at variable speeds matched to actual cooling demand, EC fans can deliver energy savings of up to 50% compared to fixed-speed AC alternatives — while also significantly reducing noise levels at part-load conditions.

Individual Fan Isolators

HC Coils offers lockable fan isolators per fan for enhanced safety during maintenance operations. Individual fan isolators allow maintenance personnel to safely isolate a single fan while the remaining fans continue to operate, minimising downtime and maintaining partial cooling capacity.

Fan isolators are available as standard or optional features across our Dry Air Cooler, Industrial Air Cooler and Air Cooled Condenser ranges. They are particularly recommended for large multi-fan units and mission-critical applications where continuous operation is essential.
